SPQT Plans To Release New CD Project - End of Summer 2014! 

HAVE YOU HEARD???  Many of you have been asking when Soul Purpose is going to put out another CD.  Well, praise the Lord we have completed the recording of our newest project!  We are SO excited about what the Lord has laid on our hearts to share with you.  We are confident it will bless your hearts and pray it will ignite a NEW FIRE within you to share WHO Jesus is and WHAT He has done for you!

Included on this newest project are some of your favorites:  "If You Knew Him", "In My Robe of White", "We Will Worship The Lamb" and many others including a NEW original song written for us by our good friend and brilliant songwriter Matt Rankin (Soul'd Out Quartet), which we have chosen to be the title of the project.  So, be on the lookout for the release of our newest project "Bought With A Price"!!  Our anticipation is that it will be ready for release by the end of Summer 2014.

SPQT Honored by Governor of Ohio/Mayor of Columbus 

At their recent concert with Brian Free & Assurance, Soul Purpose Quartet was awarded two special surprise presentations before a crowd of 350 attendees in Grove City, Ohio.  (One from the Governor of the State of Ohio and the other from the Mayor of the City of Columbus). SPQT is honored to be recognized by these heads of state and thanks all of you for your continued love and support of the efforts they are making to further the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Today, I join your family, friends and neighbors, in celebrating the wonderful work you have done for your community, state and nation. The time and effort you have put toward your performances is to be commended, and I admire the positive influence you have had on everyone around you. Here we are in a brand new year. We are so excited to bring you another fantastic line up for 2013! Many of you have asked about getting “Season Tickets” for the 2013 “An Evening of Southern Gospel Music” concert series. March 15th, by popular demand, we have a favorite from our 2012 concert series returning, “SOUTHERN SOUND QUARTET”. On June 14th, we welcome a new group of guys to Grove City who will certainly bless your hearts. They are the ever popular and multiple award-winning “BRIAN FREE AND ASSURANCE QUARTET. Brian has been voted “Favorite Tenor Singer” a record eight times. They are also known for their song, “As Long As I’ve Got King Jesus”, which is quite a crowd pleaser! On August 2nd, we bring in another new quartet to Grove City “THE MARK TRAMMELL QUARTET”. These guys are also recipients of multiple gospel music awards and are favorites of many across the nation. Finally, we are bringing back a group that hits home for us. As a matter of fact, they are based right here in the Buckeye State in Georgetown, Ohio. Our last concert with them was an overwhelming success, and all of you said you wanted them back. This is our own Jim Barrett’s son, Dusty’s group. So, on November 8th, it’s “SOUL’D OUT QUARTET”! Sure looks like 2013 is going to be a great year for southern gospel music in Grove City, so get your Season Tickets now. You don’t want to miss being blessed by any of these quartets! SPQT is Officially MOBILE!! 

Thank you all for your continued prayers that we would find suitable transportation for overnight stays.  The Lord has PROVIDED!  We are now able to travel wherever we are called.  If you would like us to come to your church to minister in song, just click on "CONTACT" above and send us an email or give us a call.  We look forward to being able to travel further distances in order to see His Gospel shared with all who are willing to hear it.  Please continue to pray for safe travels for us and all of the groups traveling the highways and biways for the Lord!  We hope to visit your church soon!

SPQT Commissioned as "Kentucky Colonels"! 

What an amazing time last night (4/28) at the North Community Springtime Celebration of Life Event!  What tremendous blessings!  SPQT is honored to have each been commissioned by Steven L. Beshear, Governor and Alison Langelder Grimes, Secretary of State for the Commonwealth of Kentucky as "Kentucky Colonels." 

Special commendation was also issued to SPQT by William Batchelder, Ohio Speaker of the House, Cheryl Grossman, Ohio House Representative (23rd District) and Steve Stivers, Congressman (OH) "for their endeavors to impart the beauty of gospel music to the community, for they have enhanced the lives of those they have touched with this universal language. ... Through their contributions to the cultural and artistic character of our nation they have helped to promote love of God and country. … By sharing their gifts, they have helped spread Christian charity and some of the core values that we treasure as Americans."

We are incredibly humbled and blessed to be recognized by such prestigious institutions!  It is always our goal to see God praised through our efforts.  Therefore, while we are so grateful for these accolades commending our talent and efforts to further His Kingdom, we must give thanks especially to God for the talents He has given us as well as to our magnificent Savior, Jesus Christ, who gives us each a reason to sing.  All praise goes to our Lord!  Thank you Leo for a fantastic evening!  It was a pleasure to have been a part of this great celebration of life!
